Federal College of Education, Pankshin News Flash

The management of the college wishes to notify all JAMB candidates both NCE, and Degree that indicated Federal College of Education Pankshin as their 1st, 2nd or 3rd Choice and got the required cut – off point of 180 and above that there will be a POST- JAMB Examinations schedule as follows

Date: Friday 30th July 2010
Venue: School Premises
Time: 8:00am in the morning

Other qualified JAMB candidate both NCE and Degree with the cut-off point of 180 and above who did not select FCE, Pankshin as their 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice, but are now interested in coming to the college can also come and write the POST-JAMB Examinations for possible consideration for admission.

Those who filled the direct entry forms for both NCE and Degree programmes of the college are also invited for the POST-JAMB Examinations.

NB: All category of students coming for the POST-JAMB Examinations in the college on Friday 30th July, 2010 are notified that they are expected to pay the sum of N2,000 at the college bursary on or before Friday, 30th July, 2010.


Governing Council Chairman
Chief Barr. Onyemuchi Nnamani

The College has an eleven man Governing Council as constituted by Government in all Public Establishments across the country.
The Council is headed by a tested Administrator, Politician, Lawyer, a successful Businessman, philanthropist and a Traditional title holder, Chief Barrister Onyemuchi Nnamani.
He hails from Enugu state and was one time the Secretary to the Enugu State government during the Governorship of Chief Chimaroke Nnamani.
Within the period of his headship as chairman of the College Governing Council, Barrister Nnamani has exhibited leadership qualities which has portrayed the body as a family with the College as direct beneficiary.
Barrister Nnamani is married with children.


THE PROVOST, FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION PANKSHIN.
Professor David Longwap Wonang
Professor David Longwap Wonang is the current Provost of the Federal College of Education Pankshin, Plateau state.
He assumed duties on 14th February 2008 after a successful interview and was found qualified to be appointed by government.
The tenure is for four years in the first instance.
Professor David L. Wonang is a Plant Pathologist and before his appointment was a professor with the Botany Department of the University of Jos.
The Provost is a professional teacher to the core, having obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in 2006 from the University of Jos and registered with the Teachers Registration Council in 2008.
He hails from Bumnan in Takkas village of Pankshin Local government area of Plateau state and is married with five children.
The Provost has over thirty three scholastic honours to his credit as well as numerous academic publications published in reputable Journals across the globe.
He is a member of several professional bodies including the Botanical Society of Nigeria, Seed Pathology Society of Nigeria and Fellow Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria among others. E-mail wonangd@unijos.edu.ng.
