The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has commenced payment of SIWES allowance to students who participated in 2008 SIWES exercise, and the payment is through the student's personal bank account.

The management of the college wishes to notify all candidates who made Federal College of Education, Pankshin as their first and second choice and obtained a minimum score of 160 and above for NCE programme and 180 and above for B.Ed programme in the Unified Tertiary MATRICULATION Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in June 2011 are invited for screening exercise in the College.

Similarly, candidates who made FCE Pankshin their first and second choice and those who did not chose FCE Pankshin but are seeking for a change of institution to FCE Pankshin for the NCE and UTME/ Direct Entry Admissions for the 2011/2012 academic session are also invited for the screening exercise.


All candidates are required to purchase a Bio – data form from the College at the sum of N2,500 only as from 10th August, 2011.


The screening exercise will hold as scheduled below:
B.Ed (UTME/Direct Entry Admission) 25th to 26th August, 2011
NCE (UTME Admission) 29th to 30th August, 2011.

Welcome to Federal College of Education, Pankshin
The College lives by her motto Excellence in Service and this piece captures in brief the achievements recorded in the last eight (8) years.
About one hundred and twenty five kilometres North-East of Jos, the capital of Plateau state, Nigeria is a very important centre of Academic Excellence.  This institution is the Federal College of Education, Pankshin established over thirty two years ago.
From a humble beginning determined to achieve Academic Excellence, the College started its activities with a set of 100 foundation students.  By September 1977, the College was moved to its permanent site which is 3 kilometres to Pankshin town.  Since then, the College has continued to witness steady growth and increase in students enrolment to meet the aspirations of Government in teacher training.

THE PROVOST, FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION PANKSHIN.

Professor David Longwap Wonang is the current Provost of the Federal College of Education Pankshin, Plateau state.
He assumed duties on 14th February 2008 after a successful interview and was found qualified to be appointed by government.
The tenure is for four years in the first instance.
Professor David L. Wonang is a Plant Pathologist and before his appointment was a professor with the Botany Department of the University of Jos.
The Provost is a professional teacher to the core, having obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in 2006 from the University of Jos and registered with the Teachers Registration Council in 2008.
He hails from Bumnan in Takkas village of Pankshin Local government area of Plateau state and is married with five children.
The Provost has over thirty three scholastic honours to his credit as well as numerous academic publications published in reputable Journals across the globe.
He is a member of several professional bodies including the Botanical Society of Nigeria, Seed Pathology Society of Nigeria and Fellow Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria among others. E-mail wonangd@unijos.edu.ng.
